Jun Aizaki

Originally from Japan, Jun Aizaki grew up between Japan and New York City, shaped by cultural exchange and a deep curiosity about how things are made. While studying architecture at Pratt Institute, he found himself drawn less to theory and more to the immediacy of making and creating tangible experiences through design. It was during this time that he first began throwing ceramics.

After years of growing CRÈME into a multidisciplinary studio spanning architecture, interiors, and product design, Jun has returned to this hands-on practice as a personal counterbalance to the pace of running a studio. Working by hand offers a moment of pause and reconnection to the physical act of making. Through his shop, Jun expresses a more personal and intimate side of his creative practice, rooted in intuition, craft, and everyday rituals.

Designed by CRÈME, 1 Hotel Tokyo embodies the studio's belief that great spaces feel both honest and alive. Drawing on Tokyo's deep relationship with nature, the team layered reclaimed materials, expressive trees, and hand-crafted textures into a composition that is at once dramatic and serene, where sustainability and beauty feel like the same thing.
